Leading East Anglian patent and trade mark attorneys Sanderson & Co. have invited one of their key staff members to become a partner in the business.
Jerry Walder, 32, joined the Colchester-based firm six years ago to train under the firm’s founder, the late Laurie Sanderson, and has since qualified as a UK and European patent and trade mark attorney. As a chemistry graduate, Jerry specialises in patents for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, but also handles general mechanical patents, as well as some of the firm’s largest trade mark accounts.
He said: "It's an honour to become a partner at the firm where I undertook my training. I am looking forward to developing the business, by increasing our client base and continuing to ensure our clients are aware of how best to protect their intellectual property."
Jerry joins Francis Gillam and James Sanderson in the partnership, based in East Stockwell Street, Colchester. Founded in 1956, the firm advises and assists in all national and international intellectual property matters, including patents, trade marks, copyright and designs for clients in the UK, Europe, and worldwide. The firm’s clients range from individual inventors, through small and medium size enterprises, up to large global corporations.
